Hey Brad, great thread with cool info. I just did the mod on a little 017 with the 7/16 hole and the wt-215 carb, woke it up some and it's a lot funner to run. This was my very first mod. Thanks ~Z

So if I went with a 7/16" hole and use dteh stock carb, what size jet will I then need and part numbers?

Thanks

You don't need to even take the carb off - just undo the nuts and remove the filter box, slide back a tad, and unscrew the metering cover. I do this often to replace the dried-out or gummed-up diaphragm, and to clean out the main jet.

Jets are available in 0.1mm increments. 0.48 might be a bit big.

Is there a picture or a site I could look at this carb and the jet you are changing?
I am not familiar with this carb and switching the jet.

I have just ordered up a standard (0.5mm) jet from the 017 carb, part number:
1129 121 5600

3/4" tube with .049 wall has area of .3339 sq. in. Looks like plugging all factory muffler holes and add one 3/4 tube exhaust exit would be perfect for 125% area of exhaust port on MS180.
