Anybody ever heard of vipukirves-axe??

Theres been a couple of threads about those axes. Pretty cool design, wouldnt mind to try one myself but seems like they arent sold in the US. I could be wrong. Also, doesnt frozen wood split easier? I wonder how it would do in some hickory?:msp_tongue:
 
It works great in all kinds of wood, but the best thing about the video is the use of the tire to keep the sticks in place. The virp just takes the skill out of ax flipping as a splitting technique.
 
Hmm love to see one in dense wood with a twisted grain.... Dense dry and hard like certain Aussie Eucalypt or box.

And the wood at +20 oC.... Not frozen.
