the temp of a stove without a blower? Can you buy a gauge to mount on the stove? Thanks.
 
ebay and other sites sell them and after you own one you will never go without one.
mine has saved me money as I was able to find cold spots and air leaks and fix them.
I take mine with me whan I look at people stoves and see what kind of stack temps they have.
 
The Infared Thermometers were just on sale at northern-tool, or The Sportsmans Guide for $7.99 or $9.99

Looks just like the ones I have for checking the head temps of my RC engines!
 
IR thermometers are incredibly usefull. If you are going to buy one note that they have different temperature ranges. The one I have tops out at 525 or something like that. It does not work well trying to figure out how hot the secondary burn section is. It would also be useless to see how hot a cat was.
