Hello,

I planted a line of quite a few arborvitae. They're 1 foot tall, and I'm running into some issues. Well, the issue I need help with mostly right now is a bright-ish red color coming in on some of the branches and needles. Would anyone mind taking a look at a picture and let me know if they might have an idea what this might be? I did use a mycorrhizae powder when I planted them, but it was specifically meant for arborvitaes.

Thank you for any help

It's hard to get excited about a 12 inch Arb, low value plant.
Post a good picture of the whole Arb in question. Check the lower stem for mechanical damage.
I don't see any fruiting bodies on your needles so check for needle miner.
Thank you for the response. I’ve been keeping an eye on them and trying to keep them healthy. Some have been putting on good growth this year, but others are suddenly showing signs of death along some of their branches. Do you mind letting me know if these are fruiting bodies I’m seeing, and any advice on what to do if anything pops out at you.

Thank you so much again
