Ascenders?

Men,
What would be the best ascenders to buy? Should I get cammed ascenders or toothed ascenders? Which work best for SRT and which work best for DRT? Any help on any of these questions would be much appreciated.

Petzl's or CMI's. Both are great just different. The Petzl's can be joined back to back pretty easy for footlocking up a doubled rope. I cannot detect any abnormal wear on Safety Blue using the ascenders. I've also got Gibb's and Petzl rescuescenders and they are good, but slower to put on the rope. Usually use them for mechanical advantage systems as haul cams or pcd's. Look at the Ushba titanium ascenders as well, I'd like to have a set to play with. However you do it, get a hold of a copy of "On Rope" to learn about ascending systems and how to build and use them. Steve.
