Just bought an Ashley 1120 to heat a garage we are converting to a studio apartment. I like it. The air control knob is a little stiff and not well located. It takes a while to get it lit and burning well, but the new EPA rated stoves seem to all have this trouble.
My local Ace hardware didnt have a blower kit. I got lucky and found one at the Ace in the next town over. You definately have to keep it going to get much heat out of it. But balancing efficiency, burn time, capacity and just physical size was not easy. I think I found a sweet spot with this little stove.
Anybody else using this unit?
Oh! I like the 18 " log size. I cut my wood 16" and 24", so it works out.
