Autumn Blaze Pear Tree Cracking

I recently purchashed 2 Autumn Blaze Pear trees from a landscaper and after they were planted noticed large cracks in the bark of the trunk. I have not paid for the trees yet and my question is, should I be accepting these trees. Will the trees be prone to disease?

get rid of them and him and hire a certified arborist to take care of all your tree care needs, wants,and any quiestions you may have. throw up a post asking for a local fella neer you. im sure youll find good hands in this place. give us some pics and we will let you know if your getting skrewd or not .
