It was such a nice day today that I decided to take the wheeler out for a few hours. I also thought it was a nice day to bring a few saws with me that have not seen wood yet. Everything ran great except the Echo. Well It ran good but i found out that the bar had a slight bend in it and would not cut worth a damn because of it. I didnt notice it till it hit the wood.

I brought the Homelite 2100, Homelite XP1020 with auto oiler and the Recently rebuilt ECHO CS-900EVL.

Dear sir, I also enjoyed the videos especially from NY.I almost forgot how beautiful the area that I used to live in was. (Oneida county) However, the woodcutter safety police would be all over you like democrats on a public relation campaign.Ken

The Homies look good. The echo needs some help. Bar needs some attention or the chain does. It was fighting itself in the cut.

The echo is running awesome. As you could see after the 1st attempted cut I pulled it out and looked at it. The bar has a little bend/hook in it. I never noticed it till then. Time for a new bar I guess. She sure sounds good though

The 1020 looks to be stronger than the 2100. Is that the case?

It feels a little stronger in the cut then the 2100 did. The 2100 still needed some tuning and the chain on the 2100 is junk compared to the chisle chain on the 1020. The 2100 has some chipper crap on it. It was throwing some good chips but does not self feed well and you really gotta dog it threw.

That 1020 I built though sure is a very strong runner. Even stronger then the super 1050 I have

The Echo did sound good, I agree with that.:chainsaw:

If only I noticed the bar was tweaked earlier I have a 28" bar that would have fit I could have used for the test video...oh well I guess. I dont even have 1 tank threw that saw yet and it will just about hold itself up by the starter with the long bar on it the compression is so much.

I'll get more up soon of it with a better bar and chain. I do love that sound of it though and it certaintly feels very strong. I put an 8 pin rim on it to

Love seeing the vids of the big Homelites in action. Not taking away anything from the Echo though as it sounded strong as well. With the new bar and chain combo she will really pull I am sure.

Well done Wildman!

Regards,

Chris.

Thanks Chris. Yea those homelites are no joke. As for the Echo I'm very pleased with it. I think you could almost see the tears in the video when i tried cutting with it and noticed something just was not right

Great vids Wildman!! I liked the way the Echo sounded the best, even with the bad B&C.

Hay did anyone catch sasquatch running buy in the background about 17 seconds into this video.lol:givebeer::givebeer:

LOL @ Sasquatch. There were a few guys going buy on their wheelers and they ended up watching from a distance. They were pretty amazed by the saws and one guy said "Dude whats that a dirt bike engine" and I reply yup and told him it was 100CC and his jaw hit the ground. I was out riding all day myself so that's why I had shorts on cutting incase the PPE police were around.
