I'd bet it's 7" outside to outside, 7" ID should fit over it nicely.
That will let creosote leak out onto the stove top. When you choke it down for the night, you'll wake up to nasty acrid smoke.
They make crimpers for stovepipe. A crimped 7" would probably slip in.
Might try Rockford Chimney . They can fabricate stuff out of 316 SS but it's not cheap. I don't think the adapter would break the bank.I'll try it . Then still need to get a 7 to 6 for the insulated pipe
