Wanted a spare saw for climbing. I have a 200t that is my primary saw. It has a 14" lightweight bar. Anyone that climbs and does not have one of these is missing something. I have A Solo 642 40cc saw with a 16" bar that I use after the 200t for chunking down. Nice lightweight saw that is handy in a tree. I wanted another, slightly larger saw, as a spare saw for going up in a tree. Figured on a 50cc saw. Echo CS500P was the lightest saw in this class. I was impressed with Mastermind's post on this saw. Bought the saw with an 18" bar. Handy little saw.
I have to admit that after all the research on this saw I bought it because I felt like it.
All of my saws are basically stock. I thinking of getting another CS500P and sending it out to be ported, so I can see for myself the difference. Because I feel like it. CAS?
