Hey! i am new working with computers. I happened to find you by accident. I
live in Surprise, Az. I have a plum tree which is about 13 yrs old. Its dry
and brittle. I water it 3 times a week for 30 min. Have used miracle grow 2
times a year. How can i get this tree to look better. Thanks.

Could be too much water killed it, though in AZ it could dry out fast.

in many areas Prunus is margianal and short lived. Look for aread around the base with an amber ooze foming out, could be hard or gummy. This is a sign of bacterial canker that kills these plants.

Here in MKE, WI I tell people to expect 7-12 years out of most cherry/plumb.
