$£$£ business outgoings over the year

we are just coming to the end of our first year of trading and filling our tax forms looking back over the past year, our outgoings have been unbelievable ! fuel , diesel, kit ,business loans etc thinkin prices may have to go up soon ? anyone else in the same boat ?

You should have been tracking this stuff all along to make sure your pricing was in line to make the money you need to be successful. How can you know what to charge if you don't know what you are spending? Hopefully you got lucky and made some money. When you have your own show you are no longer just a tree guy. You now have the very real responsibilities of being a business owner. It is always a good idea to sit down with your accountant several times a year to track things and see how things might be adjusted. A worthwhile expense.

i fully agree husky ! we have made decent money esp for a new tree firm surrounded by hacks ! we have done everything by the book and more as we are aiming to be arb association approved within five years ! we are slightly cheaper than most local firms but i think that has helped establish the business in its first year roll on he next . . . . . .
