I can't seem to stay away from this site, I learn something new everytime I sit down...So are these carbide tip chains any good? The reason I ask is that my dad and I often cut trees at a cabin we have on Big Piney Creek in norther Arkansas. It never fails that we use the good chain til it's almost shot, and then try to cut up old stumps. I know the dirt is horrible for a chain, but sometimes that's out only option. So will these carbide tiped specialty chains solve my problem? Will most stihl dealers have diamond grinders to sharpen them? Any help would be great!
