Cedar Tree Problem

Hi, I have 6 mature Incense Cedar trees. I live in the Bay Area, CA. A lot of the needles at the ends of the branches in every tree are turning brown, dying and blowing off. What is the cause? And what is the remedy. Thanks! Kevin
