when do the new models come out every year? if i buy now is it this years model or last years, was ready to buy a used 6048 but the guy changed his mind on selling it so i'm looking to buy a new cl 5036, are the 2009 the same as the 2010? not sure how often they have added something to the 5036.

I have a 5036, my first year with it. I started looking in early '08 and bought in early '09, in that time they didn't change the design at all, just the price by a little bit. I don't really know how often they change up the design, but I do know the pricetags aren't getting any lower.
