Chain for pro Mac 5-10

A co-worker of mine has an old pro Mac 5-10 that he can't get chain for any more. He's been to all the local shops and they don't have it, and called oregan and they told him they don't make it anymore. I think its1/4 pitch no idea what guage. If I can't find that style chain can it be switched to something more modern like 3/8 low pro

A McCulloch ProMac 510 should have come standard with 3/8lp. If it was switched to 1/4 pitch, you should still be able to source it at a Stihl dealer.

Oh didn't know they had 3/8lp in the 70s. If it is I don't know why all the dealers are telling him they don't have it. Hes got a loop in the truck he's Gona give me when we get off work I'll check it out. Thank you for the quick response.
