The old adage is, you get what you pay for. So, I want to get a decent grinder. My question is; Is Silvey worth the extra you pay for it over like an Oregon 511 or a MAXX grinder?

Are there any grinders that can do both square and round grind? I heard the Stihl USG has an adapter to do this. Do any other brands?

I don't do commercial sharpening, just sharpen chains for my use, and I make my own ripping chains by reducing angles. Currently just using a cheapy grinder but working with the small wheel and dressing it is kinda a pain.

not sure if this helps, but I bought the Speed Sharp from baileys. It does a good job and I do lots of ripping chain.

I'm sure the silvey is better, but for what I do what I have works great.
