Someone better than I will have a real answer, but when I look at that saw I think Remington.

Looks like a Mono-buildt saw similar to an SL-245. Maybe Montgomery Wards branded.

Yes it does, I found a pic of a 48cc version and it is really close. this one has a decomp, a bit different. Pic enclosed.
