Where is the best place to get a tach for use on my saws. I have enough saws to keep running to justify getting one. What do you guys use??

I have never used one. I would like to try one some day to see how well my tuning by ear really is.

DTI-20K - about $99
Stihl EDT5 - about $130 from your dealer (List). Or EDT6 (small unit) for about $110.

I Use the DTI-20K and EDT-5. Both great.

tachs are great for stock saws ,just set it to book specks. but if its modified i set it to best power in heavy cut.

I would also recommend with the DTI 20K.

i bought mine from laser sales/cutters choice. i pretty much only use it on customer saws after i set the carb at factory settings. i like to see how close the rpm's are. power tuning carbs. for competition i do by ear. marty
