I couldn't resist buying one for $200 since the $85 50cc one has worked for a few years now without a hitch. Wouldn't make a living with it but I leave it in the shed at camp and if it's stolen it's much cheaper than my Jonsered 2153.
Anyways, curiosity got the better of me so the clone showed up today. 3 pulls and runs fine. However, it's a dead ringer except for the bar and chain.
It came with a 24in bar and 3/8, .063 chain. Didn't Husky ship theirs with a .058? Is there a downside of a 24in bar and .063 chain? Should I get a new .058 bar and chain?
The saw is an experiment to see how long it lasts as my 2153 does what I need anymore

Run it with what you have for now. Why switch anything till wore out.

I like 050 here. But had a 24" Farmertec bar and this GB bar in 063 24".

Got a 200' of 058 here and it dont sell local. 050 90% and 063 mostly longer stuff here.

There has been a trend the last few years of Husqy recommending .063" on saws over 70cc, maybe even 65cc. Seen a few dealers with that setup on bigger saws. Still .050" on 60cc and under.

My Holzfforma 372 clone uses 3/8"
.050 chain mostly because I bought it with no bar and put my own bar and chain on it.
I prefer to use .050 ga chain in full size 3/8" for all my saws over 50 cc and .050 ga 3/8" lp for all my saws under 50 cc.
Just makes things simpler.
