I am taking a small business class and have been given the assignment to create a business plan. Well since I have never owned a business but will soon be running one hopefully. I am in desperate need of some advice.
I would like to do it for firewood delivery. This is primarily for my class but some pointers on how to get it off the ground would be great also. I would love to get an A on this paper.

Well, your question is extemely general. But I'll try. For a firewood business you will need:

A good cheap supply of firewood
A way to advertise
A dump truck or dump trailer
Or the harder way a pickup truck
An area to season the wood
A splitter
Tarps to cover the wood from rain
A years time to season the wood
chainsaws to cut the wood with
Proper safety gear
Gas cans, tools to maintain equipment

Enough money to float all of this for the year while the first batch seasons
you might be better posting in the firewood section too. Good luck.

You may find out at the end of your paper that there is little money in firewood .... then you will be way ahead of the curve.... Mike
