[Lightning Performance]

Pics say it all. Any known issues?

I've never owned one before. Decided to go old-school on a known working runner. This guy delivered it today from the city, . Old job site tool with weak spark he says. He lives near me.

For the year the condition is impressive imo.
It has compression and was running a few years ago. It has been diagnosed with a weak coil from a shop over there. Low jolt from the wire after the inierds were inspected.


Supposed to be a Sachs engine I'm told by the last user, idk, sounds logical.
Nice carb on it and custom filter setup. I like it.

That old thing is likely in need of seals on the ram. No big deal there. It's my homeowners unit not a commercially used tool. If the ram is shot it gets grease in the gearbox and life goes on.

Basically I've found one cracked weld on the handle gusset plate and a few missing bolts, nbd. Might pop the flywheel later and see if a cap fixes this old monster.
It's not very heavy compared to it's appearance.

I believe you will find it is a Power Products engine.
