I am thinking on buying an MS440 without compression release. How many of you all use it on a 70cc saw?
With an MS441, I have a tuff time getting it started when cold, so I use it.

The 440 that I just put together without a base gasket is harder to pull over than my 660 with squish set at .025". That 660 was assemebled with the CR deleted and has not been a problem. Likewise, my 066BB doesn't need the CR to be used. My 272xp doesn't have one, and I only use the CR on occasion on the 3120. I'm a 54yo and 175#, so not a strapping young guy.

Compression release thingys are for sissys. I think Mastermind and DSS use them often. Just sayin.:msp_biggrin:

I have a little RedMax weed eater that seems to have a ton of compression, jerk, jerk, jerk! You really have to mean it when you pull that thing!!
