Today as I was cleaning my 660 getting ready to go cutting this weekend i noticed a crack on the nose of the bar. I was wondering is this a common problem. And is there anything i can do to prevent this from happening.

Is it roller or hard tip?

Do you ever dress your bar, and no I don't mean in high heels and a skirt.

it is a roller tip. and no i have not dressed the bar i don't know how to therefore i have never done that.the crack starts right at the tip and goes midway through the replaceable nose

How big is the crack? If the chain still rolls fine use it, if not get another tip put on it.
