I just replaced the piston/rod assembly on a 2.5 hp 15 gallon horizontal tank compressor. I noticed that the air tube between the check valve and the pressure switch was kinked so I took it off. With this tube off I ran the unit and I noticed that air was coming out of the check valve ( pressure switch side ). Is this common ? Does the air stop at the pressure switch or is it suppose to stop and the check valve ?

What kinda tubing can I use for the one that is kinked ?

Any input will greatly be appreciated.

Thanks.
