Hello all. Well as the title implies I'm curious about the demand for crane use by tree care community in the area. I have a few questions for those of you who use cranes. What size cranes are you guys renting or using? How often are you all using one? And lastly what type of prices are you paying as for as show up fee and per hour? Just a little back ground. I'm currently a crane operator and have been doing so for the last six years. I worked with a tree company for a year as crane op/ground guy and have been a commercial crane operator since then. But I'm now looking into possibly purchasing my own crane and wanted to know is there a demand for it. The tree company I worked with before had a truck mounted 30ton and it did well. But I'm looking at a 40 to 60 ton truck crane with at least 110' of main. Thanks to anyone who replies. Your insight will be appreciated.
