Hi all,
I have done something i am not sure about.
I have just bought a new crankshaft for a saw i have for repair this end.
A Husqvarna 55 and originally I bought a second-hand crankshaft that is worn out and the seller did not and does not understand what I even mean by lateral movement, or side movement.

I have bought this replacement, but not a genuine Husqvarna.
I take it this company are okay on parts as i do not see anyone saying bad things about them, so does it look like I will be okay with this makers part?farmer tec.jpg

I have heard NWP brand are good but have not used any myself.
Thanks Chevboy0167. I also came across this name, and again nothing bad about them I can find.
I will see how I get on with the farmers one first as i have bought it and waiting delivery.
£47 delivered I thought was a good price, but I also thought it is very cheap, so maybe I bought a problem part.
Thanks for the reply.

Lateral movement is generally not a problem. You will find plenty in new OEM cranks. Vertical play is what you are looking for and should be non-existent. Your original crank is likely fine unless the saw ate a bearing or piston clip.

Farmer Tec is low-end chinesium. Maybe usable maybe not. Check the play / dimensions against your original OEM crank.
