Damaged carburetor seat?

I tightened the High and Low jets absentmindedly when I was rebuilding a carburetor. If the seats were damaged, what symptoms should I expect to see?
 
You mean mixture screws, right?

You'll probably be fine, unless you really tightened the piss out of them.

It can deform the aluminum seats that allow for precise, and consistently predictable mixture results.

If you over tighten a mixture screw, then for instance; the factory recommended "one turn out" resulting mixture may not be the same as an "unadulterated" carb. lol
