I have a 5105 that won't run. I was out back cutting a downed tree and it slowly stopped. It pulls over fine.
I took it into my shop and checked everything I could think of. It has spark but might be a little week. I checked and reset the coil gap.
I then took this saw to a local repair shop. The said they put a new carb and fuel line on it and got it running but it wouldn't Rev up? They then told me the cylinder is scratched so the saw is junk. They took the new parts off and kinda put it back together. Only charged me $40 for the work.
I took it back into my shop to investigate. The cylinder looks ok and it will pump up to 150# with a few pulls. Now Im at a loss as to what to do with it. It also looks like they lost the plastic cam on the carb that the cable goes around.
