:agree2: I hate the way the 7900 looks. I have never ran one, so other than looks, I cant say much. Reminds me of one of these

Yep. I had a standard cab 93 Chevy S10 once. 4.3L with ported and polished heads, a high lift cam, 700R4 tranny with vette guts, 3.73 gears for what it was, It would haul the mail. Pulled up to a stoplight with and there was this electric blue neon with a factory wing and big wheels and a hood scoop, with the kid driving it revving it up like an idiot. Light turned green and I started rolling and then nailed it, broke free for a second and hooked, hit second with a chirp and thought "I showed him", only to have this little neon pass me like a bullet. Needless to say, my pride was definitely deflated that day. Turns out the little neon was some kind of SRT4 factory turbocharged making 230hp stock, and as I later found out, this one was far from stock. Beware of the sleeper's!!! But FWIW, I wouldn't had traded my tried and true S10 for two of them goofy looking things LOL but for your veiwing pleasure, here is one handing a GTO its butt in a bag.

Beautiful!!

Dude that was awesome. ha ha ha. Love seeing those little cars get beat. I really enjoy surprising the rice rockets in my 97 CrewCab, 4x4 long box Ford Diesel, turn that chip on full and it'll go like stink, if it's at all damp though forget about it, unless you have it in 4x4.

Thats nothing to brag about..one of the 180 hp slugs the EPA made chevy make ?? lot of them running around stock that are crippled..

When those rice rockets pull up beside me and hear the 4 in hookers down on the side ,, the whine of the supercharger and the smell of the bottle,,they get wimpy pretty quick :) 1977 C3

40 year vets more then likely ran Homeys and Macs. Back then they was kings of the woods. I sure could see a logger useing the 99 I got falling all day. That things sound like a harley with a bar on it.
Bob
when i started running huskys about 12 years ago the old guys said they were junk too.

Which ones are the 180hp. I'm talking the mid to late 90's 350TPI, Not bad for my little Triumph TR7, wish I still had it. I didn't build it for straight line anyway. I race ya in a road course in your 77C3, and I'd hand you your ass too!!! ha ha ha ha LOL LOL

Thanks man. It was a Rover 3.5L V8 all aluminum. I had it producing around 250hp, not bad for a little V8 in a small car, weighed in at about 2000lb's. 2300lbs with me in it and a full tank of gas.

No prob. you earned it:clap: I know what you mean about the weight, I watched a show a few years back that took a Lexus coupe with a iron block six and swapped in an aluminum V-8 and upgraded the drivetrain and the car actually LOST weight:dizzy: more power + less weight = good fun:D

In trying to keep the thread somewhat on topic, I took a nice drive deep into the sticks to a Dolmar dealer to checkout the 7900 today, none in stock but the guy quoted me $570 PHO. I think this is a good price, but thought I'd ask you guys what you think, so is it a good price?
