Yup.

that paint bubbling off is standard with the AM ones,i put a screened front cover on my 044 and it did the same, i just run the piss out of it and a few weeks later gave it a coat of hi temp header paint ,that cover cost about $32,an OEM one was $56,
as for the ex heating the chain..thats BS, chains generate more heat when cutting than the ex can blowing on it from 3 inchs away

For sure, chains generate heat when they're cutting, so I guess it's a good thing to throw a little more heat at it! :hmm3grin2orange:
