I made the mistake of loaning my 039 to a friend, and even though his intentions were good to maintain it, he screwed up and didn't seat the air filter properly and the carb got polluted with dust.
He took the carb apart and cleaned it, three times I believe because the saw never ran right again.
I suspect he may have got a gasket or diaphragm in wrong, and I don't know which order they are supposed to go.
I got a Stihl carb kit, and hope I can get the saw running good again.
The pic shows the two gaskets/diaphragms in question.
I know the other side of the carb gets the gasket with the big hole first, then the diaphragm thingy against the cover.
