What lengths are you cutting your firewood? I have been cutting them 34"
it only burns the logs toward the door with a pile of wood not burned in the rear of firebox is it better to cut them 24" just trying to get the most cubic ft of wood and burn good at same time

I cut mine at 22-24 inches. It seems to work fine. Make sure your air holes in the back of the unit are not blocked. I have not tried anything longer to compare.
