I have a 2 year old E2300 CB OWB that I removed the firebrick from in the primary combustion chamber. This has left a ledge which is the thickness of the firebrick (1 1/2").The ledge has created bridging issues that necessitates attention from my poker.I'm thinking of welding a framework of vertical bars on the sides of the firebox to create a smooth vertical face so the wood will settle as it burns solving the bridging problems.Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated. All things considered ,I'm regretting not putting in a small self feeding wood chip furnace.
