Eastern Red Cedar alergic reaction?

We cut a bunch on the sawmill this week. A bunch of guys told me not to breath the dust because it can cause an allergic reaction. Is that true? It's the first time I ever heard that. BTW, I don't get affected by poison ivy or poison oak. Are they all related somehow?

A few people I know report a reaction. Not me, not w poison ivy either. Maybe some immune reactions are kinda hyperactive.

re dust, I mask up all the time. Lung replacement is not an option.
