HELP.....
I'm trying to work on several chain saws. I have
to assume that the carbs have been altered on the adjustments (fast idle, air and fuel mix). Is there a place on the web that I can find out what the factory settings might be? Both saws are complete and appear to want to start. One saw is yellow (McColluh ?) and the other saw is Red.
Thanks for your help !!!

I highly, highly reccommend downloading those sounds from Madsens, it is an excellent description of how the saw should run. I always turn my screws all the way in and then come out 1/2 - 3/4 turn, then you make your fine tuning in 1/4 turn or less increments from there. Always have a test log too. If the saw bogs in the cut and has little power you are too lean. If it wont reach top rpm then too rich.
