I've worked on 100's of 041, 044, 066, ms 440, ms 660. And I've assembled quite a few of these clone kits. But never has a saw given me as much trouble as this tiny ms250. In particular, the intake boot. How the hello do you get that little $hit installed without tearing the dam thing? Any advise is appreciated, cuz I'm about 1 boot away from tossing this thing in the dumpster.

Have the exact same kit. I used my fingers and just pushed, started with one part and went around. Can use a little oil.
Mine Runs and all but my issue now , the brake band is kinda tight and doesn’t fit right. Contemplating just taking it off.
Also i got some oem parts from my dealer for it. The contact spring, choke lever, and wiring assembly (kit has the coil wire and ground wire) the farmertec stuff didn’t fit quite right. Now it chokes and stops like it should.
