Seems the NE's weather got a firewood story above-the-fold on Drudge this morning...

Meanwhile, in Alaska, temps in the 40's for the forseeable forecast. (And have been for the past week) -sigh-

Hmm...the dreaded firewood thieves strike again! There are some tried, true, and proven methods for dealing with them...short of bloodshed or Boot-Hill!!

now they're stealing ROCK SALT here, and this is a young girl driving around taking it off the porches in Scranton, Pa.

if this keeps up there's going to be muggings in the parking lot of the grocery store, to get the food.

That's about 10 miles from me. 3/4's of my wood is stacked 10 ft from the road as a fence. Luckily with the snow banking along side the road it would make for a time consuming theft. My wife over heard me listening to that report, said that if it happened to me that I would flip. Flip in a way that everyone loses, so she hopes I am not home if it happens.
Is this what the term TEMPORARY insanity is for? How one protects years of work.
