Be a shame to see it go to junk..if you don't have the bore reconditioned..because the plating has already worn through...it will now very likely start flaking off in very hard shards/slivers and destroy the block & piston in very short time..replating isn't expensive at all..and you'll have a "good" rebuild at the end of it
