A mixture of trees has a few advantages

Avoids a tree plantation unnatural look

If one species gets diseased or insect infested not a total loss

Some trees might end up with lumber use and valu of species is
always fluctuating

The more natural look would give your land more valu as well as eye
appeal

I agree I am (so far) going with mullberry, black locust, silver maple. Having trouble finding cheap seedlings though. I have some black locust and silver maple that I can transplant but I need to buy quite a few more.

The DNR state forest nursery here in Iowa sells seedlings. I wonder if PA has such a thing. USDA soil and water conservation districts around here also sell seedlings in the spring. I would think there would be plenty of nurseries around that can get what you need.
