I’ am getting all the parts ready to hook up my owb. How do I know the number of plate heat exchanger to get? Does it go by the square foot of the house? If so what would a 60 plate one do?

are youi referring to a water to air heat exchanger?

if so you buy the biggest one that you can fit into the plenum of your duct work.
If you are talking water to water. Then get the biggest one you can afford imo
