OK I have seen some threads about the bigger mauls and axes.( I own a few traditional along with the monster, that I never use, but will give it a try after all the rave reviews!!!opcorn: )
I was just wondering has anybody bought the smaller heads ? 3.3 pounders? Vario 2000s? Models 1600G and the 1500G
Please comment if any owners :monkey:
I think the 1600 has a nice sharp profile.
what I am getting at if the handle is a bit short I could buy a bigger handle?
I am just concerned about the lighter weight.
RBW has the 36inch 6 pounder that he is thinking of grinding! I would rather not rework such a nice item.
I talked to a salesman (via phone) and he said the smaller maul with the thicker head 1500G is a little monster! It does have a 30" handle which is very close to alot of axe and maul sizes. I too would like a thinner head.
The sale is on for a week or so at hartville
and Happy Chopping
Thanks and Happy New Year!
