I have a wood splitter I have used for some time and it hasn't failed me yet since I take things slow. I was trying to figure out how many tons the splitter is but really don't know how to figure it out especially since there are limited markings on it.

The brand is a "Power Maul" and I can't find any reference to it anywhere. Thanks everyone!

Specs that I can find

Name: Power Maul
Motor: Honda G200
Control Valve: Brand Hydraulics 3000psi
Some number on an ID plate: 10793
Bore size: 2'x 27" showing extended

Here are the photos click the image

To determine the approximate tonnage of your splitter, measure the outside diameter of the cylinder and subtract 1/2". This will give you the bore size.
4" O.D.= 3 1/2" bore approx. 14 tons at 3000psi
4 1/2" O.D.= 4" bore approx. 18.4 tons at 3000psi
5" O.D. = 4 1/2" bore approx. 24 tons at 3000psi

These tonnage fiqures won't match most advertized ratings because they are not inflated.

Power-Maul

picked on of these up at an estate sale a couple weeks back for $300 (GS-26). It works well for its size but is kinda slow. It started on the 2nd pull after turning everything to 'on'...can't complain.

cannot find a website or other info.

I never found any more information on the splitter. It just keeps working. I really want a 4 way wedge for splitting that easy red oak. No places around me have the 4 way wedge and since most sites refer to a model or brand machine, I have no idea what one to order.

just find a local fabrication shop/welding shop and have them make one similar to what Northwest sells but that fits your wedge. Show them pics of what you want.
