I just saw some great advice on one of the other threads about attaching a funnel upside down on your spray nozzel and lowering it over the target weed to stop herbicide drift. Do you guys have any other advise that you can offer for those less familiar with herbicides? Any safety reccomendations especially.

Herbiside Application

On a recent TV program by master gardners here in Mo. the moderator said if you fear getting herbicide on a nearby plant try using a old paint brush and paint the herbicide on the weed or sprout you want to get rid of and hold a piece of cardboard between the weed and the other plants to protect them. I usually use a long handled dust pan as a shield between where I am spraying and the other plants. Works good on getting rid of unwanted grass.

herbicide tricks

Hands in latex or vinyl gloves covered with cotton gloves dipped in herbicide and stroked UP the plant from the base to the top.
