How good of a saw was the homelite 410? My father had one when I was growing up, I always liked it, It was lent to someone about 8 years ago I think, and I beleive it was run with straight gas, then it was given away instead of investing in a new jug and piston... I kick myself now, because I could have had it to rebuild if I had shown any interest, but didn't, now I'm keeping my eye out for one to fix up....

Would one be worthy of fixing up if I can find one again? or waste of time?

Thanks
Matthew

The 410 was one of the later Homelites made prior to the company going down the crapper. I think it was still around as Homelite died. I had a 410 for awhile and still have a parts saw. I never ran it enough to give an honest opinion.

I have run one. The 410 was a solid saw but a couple of pounds heavier than the then current Huskies of like displacement. A tad slower but with a forgiving powerband.
