I have a problem with my super xlao.It runs rough and will not stay in ajustment. I have rebuilt the carb and that didn't help. When I do get it to idle it will not shut off with the switch.I was wondering if it could be the coil module pack? Is there any way to check it. Thanks for any help.

You need to remove the recoil and start looking. Is the coil and/or it's mounting
plate loose? Look for wear marks where the coil has been rubbing the flywheel. Remove the spark plug. Does the crank spin with no noises? Case screws under the flywheel may back out and rub. Also, check all wiring. If the switch doesn't work, most likely a wire is loose. Is this a points or electronic? If points, a new set or aftermarket module may be the fix.

If you remove the carburetor, check the reed valve. Could be missing a reed.

Now, get those tools out and get your hands dirty. We will be here to help.
