There are very slight grooves on the drive sprocket of my saw. They are so uniform I cant tell if they were machined or the beggining of a wear pattern. It hasn"t posed a problem and the saw cuts fantastic. Input please.
 
Keep using it until it becomes worn to the the point where you see a "grooved trail" appearing on the tooth sprocket.And when you replace it,buy a sprocket with a rim ,so when worn ,you only change the rim for 5.00
