I work on a lot of small (6.5-3 hp) Honda engines and they don't have holes for a flywheel puller, so the trick is similar to tapping the crankshaft end with the nut flush. I would say "066blaster" was lucky the flywheel came off so easy (loose fit?) because on the Honda's you have to safely wedge a screwdriver behind the flywheel before you tap. Too bad chainsaws have a lip so you can't do that.
