Given the information that my royal frost birch will probably die, I decided that I want to keep a bit of it for a memory growing on a surviving white spire birch in my yard. Can someone tell me how I should graft these branches/twigs onto the tree so that it may grow. The birch tree I want to graft it to is 7-8 feet tall. However, because it was bought at like 6' tall two years ago, it isn't terribly thick yet. (regarding both the trunk and branches)
I have seen different methods how to graft it, but I'm not sure which is better for this birch.
I don't think this question requires pictures, but I will add them if enough people say they really needed pictures to answer the question.
