How do I keep my crab apple from bearing fruit?

I have a crab apple overhanging a new wood deck..it makes a mess. How can I keep it from bearing fruit?

Call around to see what tree companies will spray a product called "Florel" it is a crop thinning agent that will drasticly reduce the amount of fruit on the tree. it will not eliminate them comletly.

The only other solution is to remove it and get a fruitless cv.
